Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
Renosol Corporation was formed in 1981 from a leveraged buyout of the Chemical Specialties Division of Hoover Universal (which later became Johnson Controls.) Its experience dates back to the 1960s.
What is your primary product or service?
We engineer and custom mold polyurethane, which can be formulated to meet a wide variety of product and process requirements. Renosol's rotational molding facility in South Carolina produces parts for marine and industrial settings.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Renosol has built from its expertise in polyurethane formulation, introducing the first soy based flexible polyurethane seating (for the 2008 Mustang), and has a history of being first to meet environmental and industry challenges with unique technology.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Formulating and processing expertise set us apart from our competitors. Because we have command of the chemistry and the process, we achieve results that surpass all competitive products.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently have 3 manufacturing facilities in two states.
Which areas do you service?
Currently, our business is concentrated in the midwest section of the United States, but our reach extends to the east coast, to as far west as Minnesota, and into Canada.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Renosol Corporation is privately owned, and chaired by its owner, Douglas E. Peck.
What are your hours of operation?
Our normal hours of operation are 8am - 5pm. Manufacturing plant operation varies with demand, adding shifts as necessary.
